The KATRIN experiment

The KATRIN experiment is designed to make a direct measurement of the mass of the electron neutrino with a sensitivity of 0.2 eV. It is a next generation tritium beta-decay experiment, scaled up by an order of magnitude in size, precision and tritium source intensity from previous experiments.
